I have done gardening talks and demonstrations in a variety of settings, including the Philadelphia Flower Show. In addition, I was a speaker for the Horticulture Magazine fall 1999 four-city lecture series and the Hardy Plant Society/Mid-Atlantic Group March into Spring symposium in 2006. I have also spoken at various Master Gardener and garden club events. In addition, I have been a guest on a number of gardening shows on radio, and have appeared on Home Matters a television show for the Discovery Channel.

Current talks include "Jazz Up Your Garden: Covering Ground Creatively," "Full to Overflowing: Using Layers of Plants to Create Continuous Interest in the Garden," and "Planting Decks and Other Outdoor Living Spaces." I also can develop a talk specifically for your group on topics such as creating shady retreats, green landscaping, or popular perennials. One popular demonstration/talk is "Responsible Plant Propagation" during which I cover all the basics the home gardener needs to know to take and root cuttings, divide plants, and grow from seed.

I have also conducted workshops, most notably one on making copper trellises. In this case, my husband Peter Evans was a co-presenter.
